Event: Friday, June 6, 2025 It’s back, and it’s better than ever. The Goodyear Police Department is proud to host its 4th Annual National Donut Day Donut Eating Contest, and this year we’re adding a twist to celebrate the teamwork that keeps our communities safe. We're inviting Avondale, Buckeye, Surprise and Peoria PDs to join us in a friendly showdown of sweet skills and speedy bites.
WHO: Teams of two from each department, one patrol officer and one dispatcher, will pair up to represent their agency in the competition.
WHY: Beyond the powdered sugar and playful rivalry, this annual event is a lighthearted way to connect, celebrate National Donut Day, and highlight the strong bond between dispatch and patrol. Media are invited to cover the event and capture the camaraderie among West Valley law enforcement teams.
